Carol Broadwell retired from school teaching in 2000 after having taught in the Glynn County School System for 30 years. Retiring with a Master’s Degree, she looked for the opportunity to meet new people and stay active in the community that she knew so well.What better way than to offer her expertise of the community she loved so much than to offer her knowledge to those possibly purchasing or selling real estate on St.Simons Island. Receiving her license, she immediately went to work with the company now known as Hodnett Cooper Real Estate, Inc. A couple of years later, she earned her Broker’s License and presently works as an associate broker and selling agent with Hodnett Cooper on St.Simons Island.

Since starting this new career, Carol has obtained the designation of Million Dollar Club (now Circle of Excellence) each year for the past 4 years, and is now enrolled as a Life Member of the Circle of Excellence of Brunswick-Glynn County Board of Realtors®, having sales over 5.5 million in real estate in 2006.

Carol resides on St.Simons Island and has since 1971 after marrying and moving to the island. She has two grown children and two grandchildren. She serves as a deacon in her church and sings in her church choir. She is presently seeking designation and entrance into the Colonial Dames of America, having ancestors who settled in Providence, Rhode Island in the mid sixteen hundreds.”But I have always lived in the south and I love the south”, she says. “And I especially love living on St.Simons Island,” she adds.
